| My friend Kate! |

|
Several years ago one of my Murphy Roche friends was talking to me about my
quilts. She loved that I designed many types of flowers to put on them. We talked about what we see in nature
and how much it affected our daily lives. Then she declared that I was actually a "Goddess in training"
because this life was practice for me and in a future life I would be given the responsibility of creating real flowers for
a world. I loved the thought, and at our next Halloween gig I dressed the part, carrying a book to record thoughts,
suggestions and flowers in.
Ever since then I try to think of myself as a Goddess in training, it gives
a small lift to my day and also helps me to remain in the moment and stay aware of all that surrounds me. There is so
much beauty in the everyday!
Dedicated with fond delight to - Kate, the sprite who inspired this magical thinking
and who lives in many other worlds each day.
Kate, even though you are moving across the country, I'll remember singing celtic songs
with you & miss your piano playing at our sessions.

...of course another friend once said that those
of us who travel on our own from time to time to festivals and desinations far, far away - have the designation of "Road Warrior
Princess"
I must admit that is a description I embrace as well.
Thanks Deb!

Sheep are so much fun to create with silk ribbon - I try to give each one a personality and usually set them in a garden
of some sort. They are very popular with those who see my work.
